Winter Conditioning with UFit

Do you have a Jr Gaels Football Player or Prospect on your list?  Our Pre-season strength and conditioning program is the perfect gift to prepare athletes for their gruelling upcoming season!

Whether you are a seasoned player or are considering to competing at the next level,  Josh Maveety and Tyler Filson of UFit Kingston, are just the right guys you need to get in shape for your upcoming season, enhance your athletic performance and decrease the potential for injury.

Registration IS NOW OPEN

When: Staring January 8th

Linemen – Wednesdays 6:30-7:45pm and Saturdays 11:30am-12:45pm

Skilled Positions - Wednesdays 7:45-9:00pm and Saturdays 12:45-2:00pm

Where: UFit Kingston, 720 Progress Ave Unit #6, Kingston, ON K7M 4W9

Cost: $160 for 8 week program (16 sessions)

About Josh and Tyler:

Josh Maveety is Graduate of Bishops University with a Major in Environmental Studies and a Double Minor in Psychology and History, plus a graduate of St. Lawrence College Fitness and Health Promotions. Josh believes your needs, interests and goals are the most important part of your training program. In a respectful yet motivational manner, Josh will keep you on track and accountable, giving milestones to work towards which will define your training approach and track your progress.

Josh takes pride in ongoing fitness education. With a background in numerous competitive sports – Football, Soccer, Hockey and a stint as kicker with the CFL Hamilton Tiger Cats, Josh has an intimate understanding of what it takes to get to the next level. He transitioned from a being a football player to coaching at Carleton University and later at Queens. Josh now helps out with Holy Cross Secondary Football Program during his free time.

Josh Maveety BA, Ontario Fitness Council Platinum Owner and Trainer of UFit Kingston. (Ontario Fitness Council) Personal Training, Group Fitness, Senior Fitness, Strength and Conditioning, CPR/First Aid, NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program).

Tyler Filson is a graduate of the St. Lawrence College Fitness and Health Promotions Program and carries Ontario Fitness Council Certification in Personal Training, Group Fit Instructor status and Spin Certification. During his Social Science studies at McMaster University, Tyler love of football saw him rostered to Marauders for the 2014 season. 

An avid sports enthusiast, Tyler graduated from the Frontenac Secondary School while participating in a variety of competitive teams including soccer, rugby, basketball, and of course football.  His experience as a student athlete has helped him develop a passion for fitness and health and as a result provided a desire to guide and encourage others to go after their own fitness goals and be their personal best, contribute more and help their team be more successful.
